The Cruising Life

" Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Mark Twain

Welcome to TheCruisingLife.com. We’re glad to have you aboard. This website is full of information and inspiration on the cruising lifestyle – an adventuresome, exciting way of life that many individuals, retired couples, families - all sorts of people from around the world - are living. The cruising life refers to people who live aboard their boats and travel. Some circumnavigate the globe. Others spend months, years or even decades sailing the Caribbean or the South Pacific, the Med or the Bahamas or wherever the wind and their desires take them.

The Cruising Life quickly became one of the most popular websites on cruising when it was introduced in 2001. We published both the website and a monthly e-zine for many years. We've been offline for the past couple of years and are excited to be bringing The Cruising Life back again.  Please give us a few weeks to get everything back up and running again. Once it is, you'll find that :

Veteran cruisers will find helpful information in The Joy of Cruising. If you cruise with kids you’ll want to visit The Cruising Family for information on homeschooling, on board hobbies that kids will love and for many other topics unique to cruising with kids. Go to The Cruising Pet for information on keeping your pet happy, healthy and safe on board. Those on a tight budget will find loads of information in Frugal Afloat . If you’re new to this whole idea about cruising and want to find out more or if you are already dreaming about sailing off into the sunset then Sailaway Dreaming is a great place to start.
